Hi, I’m Chris Poundwhite.
I help people to:
Gain greater security in their relationships
Develop a healthier sense of self
Improve self esteem
Increase emotional regulation
Find more meaning in their lives
Move past internal blocks
& much more
I offer attachment repair in the three pillars treatment model for insecure attachment developed by Dr Daniel P Brown, Dr David S Elliott & co. As presented in their book ‘Attachment Disturbances in Adults: Treatment for Comprehensive Repair’, I provide this treatment model to take clients on their journey from insecure attachment to earned secure attachment, with all the many benefits to life that come along the way.
I also draw on a number of other healing modalities from somatic, cognitive, and meditative healing disciplines, and utilise many of the principles outlined in Dr Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry approach amongst others. I understand these methods and approaches inside out, having practiced them extensively in my own journey to successfully heal attachment insecurity and a number of related challenges.
I trained to provide IPF with George Haas’s Mettagroup, and continue to attend the IPF Masterclass started by Dr Daniel P Brown to ensure I am up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices for IPF and three pillars treatment more broadly.
For years I have also led men’s support and connection groups for mental health, coached people in goal setting and habit change, and supported people with behavioural addictions, which gives me a wide range of relevant skills and a unique perspective.

About me
I’ve always had a passion for understanding life and what it means to live well. In my earlier years, I studied literature and philosophy, and worked as a poet and educator helping others to connect with their local natural environments through writing. Eventually, I came to see that our most local environments are actually the emotional landscapes within us, so my move into healing and inner work was a natural transition. In my personal life I’m involved in men’s wellbeing, enjoy exploring the world around me, and absolutely love to climb. I’m married and have a young son. I live on the south coast of England.
